Larie graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Science and Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from The University at Buffalo, State University of New York. She currently maintains her board certification in occupational therapy with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and is licensed in the state of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Larie has experience working in pediatric outpatient, school, and in home settings with a variety of diagnoses. Larie has a passion for working with children in the areas of sensory integration, motor dysfunction, neurological impairment, developmental delays, and skill acquisition to promote independence. Throughout her schooling she has taken a special interest in sensory integration, and has researched the effects of sensory adaptations used in a dental office to promote successful dental visits for children with developmental disabilities. Through volunteer experience, she has explored the effects of sensory adaptations in environments such as swimming lessons and aquariums for children with autism spectrum disorder. In her free time, Larie enjoys being outdoors, hiking, camping, running, swimming, and playing with her dogs.
