Gina graduated with a BS in Exercise Sports Science from Elon University in 2001 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Emory University in 2004. Gina’s passion to work in the field of pediatrics began during her undergraduate years when she worked as a teacher’s assistance for a summer program in a special needs classroom.
After working in a hospital setting as an inpatient physical therapist for primarily adult population; Gina eventually landed a job working for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in an outpatient pediatric clinic. Gina has experience working with a wide variety of patients to include developmental delays, heart surgeries, neurological and genetic diseases, orthopedic and sports injuries, toe walking, brachial plexus injuries, and torticollis. Gina served on a Torticollis Task Force committee that created treatment pathways and protocols for the treatment of torticollis. She also took advanced coursework and has experience in serial casting and taping techniques. Gina also has experience working as a physical therapist in a Special Care Nursery.
When not working, Gina enjoys spending time with her husband and children, traveling to visit family and friends, and watching Alabama football.
